Geneva
Welcome to Geneva! Since Switzerland is quite expensive, we didn’t eat out often during out visit. You will find the best choices for vegan options in a supermarket at the Coop, but when you want to eat out, here are some options: one for food, and one for a coffee shop with vegan treats.
Lucha Libre
Located in the Plainpalais neighborhood, this SouthAmerican restaurant had the best margarita I’ve found in Europe yet. Flavorful, strong, delicious! Also one of the best guacamole. Not quite spicy but with some attitude.
This restaurant offers a few vegan options, with vegan “chicken” instead of meat as a substitution. I had the Chaulafan Mixto and it was excellent.
Utopia
A nice little café with a terrace in the shade in the back and vegan pastries, this Utopia coffeeshop is located in the Eaux Claires neighborhood, but I see that there are others in town, as it is a chain.
There is not a lot of room, so if you are a large group this might not be the place for you, but otherwise it’s has a really nice ambiance and the coffee is very good. It is in this cafe that I first tried pea milk, have you? I liked it a lot!
If you have other recommendations for vegan options in Geneva, please let me know in the comment below. I liked the city a lot and I’m likely to go back!
