Gibraltar Rock - Lodi
Located in Lodi, about 40 minutes west of Madison, this trail is such a hidden gem! The views from the top are pretty great, and you might see (from above!) some birds fly below!
A large section of the loop is part of the Ice Age Trail , a segment not to be missed if you’re doing the whole 1,200 mile-trail! If you want to do a longer hike on the day you visit Gibraltar Rock, feel free to continue on the Ice Age Trail… all the way to Lake Wisconsin!

Gibraltar Rock Loop
The loop leading up to Gibraltar rock consists of a section of yellow blazes (part of the Ice Age Trail) and a short (o.6 miles) white blazed section connecting the two parking lots.
You can park on Gibraltar Rock Road, or on County V and start hiking from there. There are several maps on the way, as you cross other trails within the area, so you won’t get lost!
The trail goes up but is never too steep, although it can get quite muddy. Some sections are stone steps, and there is a boardwalk at one point, but it’s mostly dirt, rocks and roots.
