Amherst Junction

The Tomorrow River Trail is a 29 mile long crushed stone trail that connects Plover to Manawa, going through Amherst Junction and right by Lake Emily County Park. Lake Emily is a good place to park and start riding if you want to only do half of the trail (and back!), or if you want to easily go for a swim after your bike ride. There is ample parking there and several picnic tables.

Note: You do need a trail pass if you’re 16 or older to ride on this trail.

Tomorrow River Trail

This is an easy and well-marked trail, that alternates between shaded and exposed areas. There are some road crossings, but the roads are not usually very busy. There are several parking lots to access the trail along the way.

The trail crosses the Tomorrow River a couple of times, offering some beautiful views.

The photos here were all taken east of Amherst Junction.

On the western end, in Plover, you can connect to the Green Circle Trail, which goes around Stevens Point, using the Hoover Road Trail.

From Lake Emily to Ogdensburg and back.

If you’re looking for a place to eat after your bike ride,  I recommend Wicked Willow in Stevens Point, which is a 20 minute drive from Lake Emily Country Park.
